Dear readers,

Chers lecteurs,

Here's the last episode of my former home redo. But I sure hope there'll be a spin-off.

Kitchen first picture

Welcome to the dark side of the sixties!

Here's what the kitchen looked like when I visited the flat for the first time. Nice yellow tiles, huh? And the light fixture, don't get me started on that!

L'horreur, hein?

A few month later, taken from the other side...

Etape un, quelques mois plus tard...

Kitchen 2

I couldn't get rid of the awful formica kitchen cabinets (translation for "formica" welcomed in the comments!) right away as money was a bit tight... But, can you see a man's jacket on the chair? It actually belongs to the wonderful music-loving man who was going to save me from all that formica hell!

And after!

Cuisine 1

Again, I can't believe I didn't take more pictures... I couldn't find any picture of the open shelves that were on the other wall... It's stupid, since I loved that kitchen (my first "big" kitchen, even if it looks small to you) so much, that I could stand with my cup of tea, watching it for long minutes!

For some reason, all my friends thought it looked very English. Any idea why?

Now that I'm back to an awful kitchen with no cabinets, no real oven and worse than anything else no gas stove, I miss that kitchen so much...

I'm joining wonderful parties, which allowed me lately to virtually meet real nice people. Also, the buttons are so pretty, I just want them on my post!

It does look quite English, I think. Perhaps the cream and the tongue and groove. Quite English country?

I can see why you miss it - but just think, you get to redesign all over again!!!

You're right redesigning is so exciting! My parents keep saying I chose the house because everything needed to be changed!

It's even better than the first flat remodelling as now I can talk about it with people interested about decoration all around the world!!
